Vision & Mission

About CDI:

The Centre for Development Initiatives (CDI) is a social wing of the Missionary Sisters of Mary Help of Christians (MSMHC) committed to empower the marginalised communities of the society, especially women and children.     

The task of CDI is to act as the co-ordinating body in the social and development work of the entire Province and the Delegation of the Congregation, providing expertise, guidance, facilitation and co-ordination. Registered under the Societies Registration Act 1860, it works for the development of the exploited and voiceless women, girls and children, that it bases its activities on the foundation of human and social values.

  • Empower the poor and marginalised women, girls and children
  • Prepare and equip competent and committed leaders for communities’ next generation
  • Install in all, the spirit of motivation for empowerment.
  • Transformation of the young as agents of change through employable, educative and accompaniment process
  • Facilitate resources for development work in the Provinces.
  • Help the sisters, staff and collaborators to become capable and effective in organizing women, girls and children.
